Propaganda and Division

Earlier this week, I posted my thoughts on the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris and expressed me being put off by the mockery of Jesus’ last supper. At the time, I did not realize there was controversy, and that several media outlets were reporting it was actually representing a Greek Bacchanal, I was simply sharing my own thoughts regarding my own observations.

The bigger issue at play here is the bait and switch that occurred. Faithful people instantly knew what the opening ceremony represented, but then there was a concerted effort by several media and social media outlets to very quickly call Christians ignorant, uneducated, and overly sensitive. The irreverent display of this pivotal scene from scripture shocked us and many responded accordingly. These posts were met with the scorn and mockery of several people, based on what was reported by these media outlets.

I don’t care if you agree with my opinion, that the scene was the last supper or not, but I do care about the division the media caused and the very quick and unified public response against Christ followers who shared their thoughts. Jesus is the source of truth, not of lies. Where there is division in our culture, it is fueled by the response evil has toward the truth, and more specifically, toward Jesus himself.

I believe these media outlets are setup to stoke the fires of division and hatred… and believe them to be anti-Christ. They are very clearly spreading misinformation and have turned into propaganda machines. When you have every reporter at every outlet reporting the exact same thing, including their supposed opinion… that should be a red flag that something unusual is happening. And when their reporting causes a massive amount of people to, in unison, share the same thoughts and opinions directed toward faithful Christians, well… it very well could be the beginning stages of persecution, similar to what the early church experienced.

I encourage you to shut off the news, its only objective is to enrage and divide us. Read God’s word, pray to him, go out and serve your community, love others even if they don’t love in return, and share the salvation message of Christ. Evil is on the rise and is emboldened, but the light of Christ will never be extinguished.

    Amen! Jesus said they will hate us as they hated Him. They will persecute us as they did Him. Be ready Christians, this is our time to show His Love ❤️ 🙏💯

Your Name - Your Decision

The magnitude of the crucifixion of Jesus has never hit me quite like it has in the last few days. Don’t get me wrong, I know the magnitude of the gift that we have received, but I just didn’t think about it to the fullest. Jesus was arrested the night prior to his execution and that is when his suffering began. People judged him for doing nothing wrong and our punishment was placed on him because he was and still is the only one who lived completely without sin. This has caused me to try to live my life free of sin and live Christ-like. While I still stumble, I know that I am a completely different man than I was or would have been without Christ in my life. Plastic People

People often tell me the reason they have stopped going to church is because the people that go to church are hypocrites. I always try to move on and ignore the obvious hypocritical statement they just made to me about hypocrites, and try to dig deeper into the real reasons why. I have heard countless examples of church people seeming to have it all together, and the possible church newcomers just aren't at that place in their lives yet. They feel unequal and inadequate. They think that we are better people. They feel like church going people are perfect.
